Meet Dr. Saphier
Dr. Saphier was awarded the Physician Champion Award by Are You Dense Advocacy for her fierce patient legislative advocacy.
After graduating medical school with highest honors, Nicole completed an Oncologic Imaging Fellowship at Mayo Clinic with special interest in breast imaging. It was during fellowship that Nicole first became intrigued and passionate about the legislative process. She quickly realized she can only help so many people by seeing them in an office or hospital; in order to make a difference, she needed to reach people on a larger scale.
During her fellowship she was a physician champion leading the effort to unanimously pass legislation to ensure women received the information they need regarding their breast cancer screening.
Immediately upon settling in the NYC area, Dr. Saphier became active in the local community by joining the local Board of Health, the Economic Development Advisory Committee as well as being named the Chairperson of the Joint Municipal Alliance. Since taking the Chairperson role of the Alliance she has led the efforts in supporting anti-drug and alcohol programs throughout her local and surrounding communities.
She has continued her reach throughout her career and now holds advisory appointments with New Jersey Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Doctor Saphier still works full time as the Director of Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering-Monmouth. Nicole is frequently in Trenton and Manhattan advocating for patients as an executive member of the Radiological Society of New Jersey where she has testified numerous times on behalf of patients and physicians to improve the healthcare system.
A Fox News Channel Contributor, Dr. Saphier is also internationally known for being an opinionated contributor and co-host on various nationally syndicated television and radio shows speaking from the heart on everything healthcare to politics to celebrity news.
